St Enedocs...

St Enedocs church, near Rock, where John Betjeman is buried.... A lovely little chapel in a perfect setting. Worth the meander through the sand dunes!

'And in the shadowless, unclouded glare

Deep blue above us fades to whiteness where

a misty sea-line meets the wash of air....'

In close...

Ok, I know this isn't great photography.... But I love the blurry colour. I was sitting on the Downs and these little flowers and green leaves were right there. My phone camera caught the images... And that's what they are, rather than photographs. Anyway, getting in close is amazing.

Today...

A glimpse into a tiny bit of my day.... At about 11.30am started this little beach picture, stopped for coffee, then stood in k's office warming my toes in the sun shining thought the blinds.... Fascinating!

Imagine...

So far my weekend has been focused on these two pieces. So...if I can't be by the seaside physically... I can in my imagination. I'm celebrating getting them finished and have just waved them off to Cornwall.

22 years ago today it was another scorcher. Me and my sister got married to K and G...we had a double wedding! So it's a double celebration. Happy days.

Breathe in deeply...

Well, today's been a bit crazy...started off nicely meeting a friend and having a twitter lesson, then met another friend and caught up on longed for news, came home to a request for 'relief' pictures for the exhibition in Padstow (sales amazing)... Oh and had to whiz down the road to send off a web order. Just sat down to take a deep breath and write. Therapy.

Here's some sketchbook watercolours from our Easter St Ives holiday.

Must go and tweet... (not sure but Felicity says I have to!)

Pics from 'Perfect Day'

It's been really hard getting back to work today but I got there in the end... By about 4 in the afternoon! I think it's going to be one of those weeks. When it's warm outside the temptation to wander into the garden is just too much. Lots of little breaks...that's the key!

A Perfect Day...

It really was... Yesterday was a great day of meeting lovely people, talking about all sorts and enjoying the champagne... There was the added bonus of lots of sales too, what a perfect day.

We also managed to launch my new website, just in time!

Rock

The beautiful Camel Estuary. With Rock in the distance. The inspiration I guess for much of the work I have been doing for the last few months. This Saturday sees the start of 'Perfect Day'. I'm excitedly nervous...

Dreaming....

Today I am imagining warmer places and remembering sunny skies.

And believing that one day I will see them again!

Working on some miniatures today... Just 5 x 7 cm.

This is the stage just before firing.

I'll show the fired result soon....
